Storyboarding

Visualising the script

The process of storyboarding is where we sketch out each and every scene of your video into panels, in chronological order. This helps to keep things organised and helps flesh out what each scene is really going to look like, from the camera angle to the background. This step is important for multiple reasons:

  • It keeps the video production organised. This will lessen the time spent on set, and any surprises that will have to be overcome in a pinch, potentially making the product suffer. Ultimately, storyboarding will reduce the cost and increase the quality of your video.
  • Helps everyone visualise the look. When you and our team members are all working towards are clear goal, it allows for simplified communication. This way, you know exactly what it is going to look like before we shoot and we can continue adjusting before we get on set.
  • Allows us to understand what else might be required for the production. With each and every scene that is laid out in the storyboard, it becomes much easier to troubleshoot potential problems and decide what other elements might be required for the shoot. Just based off the storyboard, we can determine if sets can be built or must be rented, the size of the crew required, and a myriad of other important aspects.

Not all storyboards are built the same, and this step is often hurried through or even skipped entirely. Each and every scene is expertly crafted by our team with special care, with the highest detail and direction. When you get a good look at the storyboard we craft for you, you will be able to see your video slowly coming to life. We won’t just slap together some drawings on scrap paper and jump right into shooting! What else would you expect from Brisbane’s leading video production company?
